Chief Executive Officer, Conning Asia Pacific

Ruby Yang is the Head of Asia Pacific and CEO at Conning Asia Pacific Limited. Ruby oversees the overall business efforts in the region, and she is responsible for developing the strategic plan, as well as leading the investment, business, and operations efforts. The teams under her leadership focus on providing institutional investors with global asset management services and insurance solutions, combined with quantitative asset allocation tools and customized investment strategies across different asset classes. Ruby has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry.

Before joining Conning in 2017, Ruby held business development roles at BlackRock Asset Management, ICBC International, Citibank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, providing client solutions to institutions including sovereign wealth funds, fund managers, insurance companies and banks. She also spent two years of her career as an investment manager at First Eastern Investment Group.

Ruby holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Economics from Peking University, a Master’s in International Securities, Investment, and Banking from the University of Reading, and an EMBA degree from INSEAD Business School.
