Everything GOES
As part of the 2026 Valuation Manual, the NAIC will switch the models it uses for reserve and capital calculations from the Academy Interest Rate Generator (AIRG) to a custom calibration of Conning’s GEMS® Economic Scenario Generator software. These calibrations will be called Generator of Economic Scenarios, or GOES. Everything GOES is a podcast for insurers who want to learn more about this transition and what it will mean for them and their process.
April 2025: What GOES Where and When
In Episode 1 of the Everything GOES podcast, Daniel Finn and Casey Pursley discuss the basics of the transition from the AIRG scenario generator to the GOES scenario generator—when it will happen, what changes it will involve, and how companies can start preparing.
