Conning’s Matt Reilly discusses the Conning Risk Assessment Survey of U.S. Insurers on the A.M. Best Audio Podcast with John Weber. The survey findings indicate that insurers remain optimistic about markets and adding portfolio risk but are a little less enthusiastic than previous years. Reilly noted that the higher portfolio turnover reported in 2024 is a trend he thinks will continue as insurers get used to the higher interest rate environment and can take advantage of opportunities.
